The highlight was the boat tour in and around Capri. Such a lovely experience, my sister and I both own boats, so it was a real treat to be on a boat in Italy. Salvatore was a great Captain! If you want a bougie lunch recommendation for Capri, we went to II Riccio. Food was fantastic and they have a “temptation” dessert room, never seen anything like it, awesome. The Arienzo Beach Club was also a treat! I would recommend arriving by boat instead of car (so many steps) but worth it for sure. Music, drinks, friendly people, a lot of fun.  My niece picked it and she loved it, fun for the young. Chianti experience was also one of my favorites of the trip. We were early so the driver dropped us in the town to shop and it was beautiful. Reminded me of the cute towns around Napa, not Napa. The Chianti tour, tasting and lunch was the best!! We bought a lot of wine! The Pesto making experience was also one of our favorites. (Nessus Dorma in Manarola) Music , dancing, eating and oh yes we made pesto. My niece won the dance competition! By any chance did the restaurant email you a copy of the pesto recipe?  I ask because they said they were going to but they probably don’t have my email because I didn’t book it. Lunch in Orvieto was so delicious, truffle everything and such a cute town. I know it’s small but so beautiful. I guess I make it sound like we didn’t like the tours, not the case, we did, it was just so hot. We appreciated all the tour guides, hope they know, tipped well. Sienna tour was amazing, didn’t really have a clue on all of its history.

My husband and I just returned from a celebratory 16 day vacation which included 10 days in northern Italy. In partnership with our US travel agent, Italy Travel Mood crafted our itinerary.
